London In Shades Of Grey – Chocks Away

So far 2012 has been quite the year for celebration in good old blighty.  We have had a Jubilee plus the Olympics and Paralympics.  Loving any opportunity for a good old knees up, we were in our element and nothing says party-time more to us Brits than getting out some RAF fighter planes, and “zooming” them around the skies trailing coloured smoke behind them.  It is of course, the Red Arrows.

You can’t say that we don’t know how to party!  There is nothing quite like a bit of nostalgia, pomp and deadly machinery to get the blood pumping.  Darn it, I have an unexploded WW2 bomb in the back garden just to liven up garden parties.  Tea anyone?

In this rather gorgeous (if I say so myself) shot, you will see the Red Arrows flying in formation over Trafalgar Square saluted by Lord Nelson.  It is so British, I might need to go and lie in a darkened room to listen to the “Shipping Forecast”.

    1. Why thank you kindly. Tiny person is actually huge, giant, mammoth statue of Lord Nelson…in fact it is 170 ft tall…can you imagine if he looks that small how big I must be in comparison. Like a weeny tiny flea on a mouse.
